Pasqueflower
Pulsatilla vulgaris
February Plant

Although a very rare plant, the Pasqueflower flowers in a few areas in the Gog-magog Hills. The best place to see them is probably on Magog Down, where they are known to flower amongst the yellow cowslips in April. The Pasqueflower is the County Flower of Cambridgeshire.
Another place to see Pasqueflowers is in the Cambridge Botanic Garden, where they have been planted amongst others in the Chalk mound.

The Pasqueflower is an extremely beautiful plant with bright purple petals that flowers at about Easter, so look out for it on your next walk in Magog Down!
